Our Story
CG Engineering Consults is the brain child of young construction industry professionals and it prides itself in leveraging the delicate balance between youthfulness and experience so as to offer innovative and creative solutions to players in the construction industry. CG Engineering Consults started out as an engineering and manufacturing company in 2019. With this, the company was able to execute complex projects that ranged from mixed use buildings to concrete drains in areas with moving streams, collapsible soils and limited working area.
Through this experience, the team at CG Engineering Consults was able to note the gap in construction law, contract management, dispute resolution, project management and engineering design in Uganda, East Africa and globally. As such, the Company has pivoted from being an engineering and manufacturing entity to a fully-fledged consultancy in the fields of construction law, contract management, dispute resolution, project management and engineering design. Our previous experience as contractors who dealt with different stakeholders on complex projects enables us to be in the best position to advise contractors, engineers and other players in the construction industry.
Our team boasts of a wide range of professionals who are well equipped to deal with the challenges on modern day construction projects across the globe.

Charles Gavamukulya, MCIArb, AICCP
Charles is a civil engineer and an expert in dispute resolution, construction law, and construction claims.
Education : B.Sc. in Civil Engineering- Makerere University, Uganda,
Pursuing M.Sc. in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution- Leeds Beckett University, UK,
Pursuing M.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) - Makerere University, Research Focus: Seismic vulnerability assessment of existing buildings at Makerere University
Training: Construction law, Arbitration, Adjudication, Mediation, Construction claims in standard form contracts
Professional Memberships: Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Associate Member of the Institute of Construction Claims Practitioners (ICCP), Certified Professional Mediator

- Tororo-Gulu Railway Project: Successfully drafted and won a claim of 3.9 Million Euros
- Masindi–Biiso, Kabale–Kiziranfumbi, Hohwa-Nyairongo-Kyarushesha-Butole Road Upgrading Project: Supported drafting of Engineer’s determinations and responses to claims totaling 6.2 billion Uganda Shillings
